Denise Clark is an independent consultant and coach providing capacity building, organizational development and executive coaching services to nonprofit organizations. She has more than 20 years experience serving the nonprofit sector as a consultant, coach, facilitator, trainer, founder, executive director and board member.

Denise travels nationwide working with nonprofits and specializes in strategic planning and retreats, fundraising and resource development, board governance, team building and coaching. She has facilitated the development of hundreds of strategic plans, resource development plans and action plans and has trained thousands of nonprofit board members, staff and volunteers on dozens of nonprofit topics.

Denise’s firsthand experience as a nonprofit executive enhances her capacity building approach and helps to establish positive, productive relationships with clients. A popular presenter on leadership, management and governance topics, Denise is recognized for her spirited and interactive training style. She brings authenticity, innovation and enthusiasm to her work and is passionate about strengthening the nonprofit sector and supporting the health and well-being of its leaders.

Before entering the nonprofit world, Denise earned a Master of Education in Special Education and worked as a public school teacher. As an executive director, Denise managed organizations addressing violence against women and victims’ rights issues. Denise believes in the power of collaboration and appreciates the opportunity to work with her capacity building peers and colleagues to ensure the viability and sustainability of nonprofit organizations.

Denise is passionate (and it shows!) about many causes. She loves traveling, learning, yoga, Jazzercise, music, wine, dinner parties, sleeping in, walking dogs and spending time with her cats. She is an advocate for social justice and has spent her life serving those in need. Denise is an adventurous spirit and has traveled the entire United States, Europe and most recently spent a month in Thailand. Her next two adventures involve New York City and Panama. Stay tuned!
